VDM UCANDAS Review

I want to have one OBD scanner for most worldwide famous car models, no need cover truck models. I only want to do basic OBD diagnosing, not programming anything.

I saw VDM UCANDAS advertised as better than autocom, it claims one-year free update at official website, and works with newest cars up to 2014.
I spent about 209USD, got one, it arrived this week, it came with main unit with OBDII cable, software driver and USB cable, package is very simple compared with Launch X431 and Autel scanner which packed with many adapters.
I installed VDM UCANDAS on Win7 successfully ( claims Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8. No WP8/Win8 RT support), easy to install, no need to activate. WIFI connection and Bluetooth supported.
I have not much trouble with VDM UCANDAS Language; it comes with English as default. Users are allowed to add two more language as will by sending machine serial number to the supplier.
I tested UCANDAS VDM successfully many car models after 2000 year, like 2012 honda cr-v, Jeep, Dodge, a part of cars up to 2014 year. I had problem with Renault Fluence, Saab 93 and Ford, I thought VDM can’t cover these cars, later I learned they are before 2000 year, VDM can’t cover.
VDM UCANDAS mainly for OBD diagnosis, support key programming, SI reset, sensor setting for a part of cars.

How to update CK-200 CK200 auto key programmer to V38.05

CK200 auto key programmer, the update version of CK-100 is newly updated to V38.05. No Token Limitation. Here is the quick update instruction guide.
Latest Software version: V38.05



Upgrade procedure:
  1. Free download CK200 key programmer upgrade tool and video
  1. Open and install CK200 setup.exe on desktop
Agree license agreement
Confirm user name and password
Click Next
Click Next




CK200 Upgrade Tool installation completed, click Finish

  1. Open CK200Upgrade tool on desktop
Click Ok to ignore Run-time error “339”
Right click CK200Upgrade, select “Run as administrator”
This will create CK200 ONLINE UPGRADE 1.1 windows, click “DRIVE”

  1. Connect CK200
Insert the 12V power adapter into the square hole of CK200 key programmer at this time. Connect another end with computer via USB port, the system will display “Found new hardware” (Win XP) or “Installing device driver software” (Win 7) prompt
System will automatically install driver USB Serial Port (COM4)
Driver is installed, click “Close”
Click Computer>>Manager>>Device Manager>>Ports (COM&LPT)>>USB Serial Port (COM4) to check communication
Click on “LOAD” button


Open “20150305-38.05-10080.bin” file on desktop
Click “RENEW” button
Select “Keep the current color scheme, but ask me again if my computer continues to perform slowly”



Click “Yes”
CK-200 update procedure is complete. Ready to use the device.

How to recharge CK100 CK-100 key programmer tokens?

How to reset/add token off the CK-100 auto key programmer as token limit reached? Follow the instruction below.
CK-100, the next update version of SBB key programmer, is a token required key programmer that can program keys via immo and read pin code. CK100 comes with 1024 tokens in default.
Token consume rate differs from vehicle to vehicle. The only way to add/reset token after used up is to replace the chip within the device. Because CK-100 doesn’t support the tokens recharge online, you need to change the board to get new tokens after running out of the tokens.
You first need to order AT89C51CC03U NXP Fix Chip . The board including 1024 tokens, directly replace your old board with the new one, your CK-100 device will have 1024 tokens again.

If you do not know how to replace the chip, you have another option to send back your CK-100 main unit to us. Our engineer will replace the chip for you.
NOTE:
The chip only works with CK-100, not work with SBB.
There are 4 versions of the CK100 and price keeps coming down.
The first version is the true working version CK100 V45.02. It covers most vehicles than other versions and it is the only CK100 version that works on Toyota G chip.
Second version is V45.06 which claims new cars added (Toyota corolla 2013, Acura Rex 07-12, Honda CRV07-13, Ford Edge 11-14)
Third version is V45.09. It works major car brands till 2014.09.
Last version is V99.99 lowest cost version at . It covers least car brands.

Xhorse Iscancar VAG MM-007 diagnosis test report

Received Xhorse Iscancar VAG MM-007 yesterday, and today hook it up the VAG car buy plugging the 16pin cable to the OBD port, what nice features are: plug and play handheld device;  can perform special functions; cover more than 220 system unit and with guide functions. .
Here is what I received:
Packed in good condition, in paper box then in fiber box.
Open the fiber box, it contains one Iscancar VAG MM-007 unit with 16pin cable, and an USB cable.
The main unit with several buttons and a screen display (it claims to be 320×240), looks good quality and suits for the user’s hand.
The port is used to plug the USB cable and to update.
The back printed with Iscancar VAG MM-007 supported protocols including. J2534 SAE, J1850 PWM/VPW, ISO 14230-4 (KWP),  ISO 15764-4 (11 bit and 29 bit CAN), ISO 9141-2.
Hook Iscancar VAG MM-007 up to the VAG car and starts to diagnose and perform special functions.
