Step 1: read BMW key PCF7945 info with Tango Scorpio

Put the chip into it
Read key info
Brand: BMW
Transponder: PCF 7945
ID: 74F65097
Remote: 868MHz
CryptoKey: Customer (Locked)

Step 2: unlock BMW 868MHz remote with VVDI Key Tool

Remote unlock
Select BMW, then E series 868MHz..
Connect the key to the key tool with an adapter
Writing data
Renew BMW remote successfully

Step 3: read new info of BMW key PCF7945 via Tango key programmer original

Connection with the chip, VVDI key tool and Tango

CN MPPS V18 Purchased- Very Pleased!

This is my unit recently bought, maybe the last review of CN  MPPS V18 clone.

I used it for my workshop. This is so far what i did.

TD5 Landrover: tricore read and write edc17c10 and unlock pcr2.1
Fiat Doblo 1.3 mjet mjd6f3: obd ead and write ok
Range Rover edc17cp11: boot ead and write ok
Magneti marelli 6F0: full read/write by OBD MPC,Flash EEPROM OK!
EDC17C10 PSA: boot mode, read OK 3:30min – faster than Ktag, Kess and FGtech
Cosra z10xep bosch med1.1.5: read and write in slow only; kess eu was the same only write slow speed too
Ford Focus 2 edc16c34: read about 10 min and write 3-4 min
Fiat Stilo IAW6JF.P3: through OBD, mpc and eeprom read write for immo-off, all ok.
Mazda 3 1,6 TD 2009 car, edc16c34 – LIKE focus
obd read and write fine, reads 3 times or 3 areas so bar goes 100% then start again weird, never before seen like this, same on write 2 times i think bar goes accross,
then 99% wait 4 mins or so, was begining to think BAD NEWs, then all ok,
car perfect file on ecu

Also, it fails sometimes. E.g. MPPS v18 China cannot read password from EDC17C64

Program Audi Q5 2011 5th IMMO Smart Remote with OBDSTAR X300 DP

How to program smart remote keys on a Audi Q5 year 2011 5th Immobilizer system using OBDSTAR X300 DP and RFID adapter via OBD.
Devices required:
OBDSTAR X300 DP (Key Master DP) full version
VCI interface (included in full package)
OBDSTAR RFID adapter (purchased separately)
1 working key and a new key
Connect VCI with RFID adapter and vehicle
Select Diag Program->Immobilizer->VW/Audi/Skoda/Seat->Audi->Program Keys
Select 5 generation immo->A4L/A5/Q5
Select Read Immo Data
Turn ignition switch to ON with programmed remote
Reading immo data
save immo data
Select Show Immo Info
Choose Audi Q5 saved file
OBDSTAR X300 DP will display vehcile immo data VIN, CS,PIN code, key number etc info
Select Make Dealer Key
Put a new key into RFID adapter
If X300 DP display error “failed to connect to RFID”
You must update RFID before make dealer key
How to update RFID firmware?
Go to immo selection menu
Select RFID Update
Updating firmware
Firmware finished, the indicator on RFID turns green
Select Make Dealer Key
Choose saved file
Put a new key into RFID
Write data to key
Write success
Select Program Keys->Open Audi Q5 saved file
after recognized by vehicle, the key will be locked and unable to unlock.
Press YES to continue
Enter key number: 2 and confirm
Turn ignition on and press Enter to go on
Insert 1st key turn on
Key number 1/2 already programmed
Insert 2nd new key and turn on ignition for smart system
key number 2/2 already programmed
Success to recognize keys
Key lean mode completed and success
Try to start all keys

Review: Autel vs Launch

  • The launch and the autel are pretty much the same as far as capabilities. I have the Matco maxgo, which is a rebranded launch, and it is pretty darn impressive. It is much faster then my snap on scanner and more closely mimics the factory scan tool for each brand. My only complaint is that it doesn’t graph quite as well as the snap on. I haven’t used the autel 908, but I’ve used the older 708. It had excellent capabilities, but again, didn’t care for the graphing. As far as customer service goes, I’ve had zero issues, so no need to make any phone calls.

  • Being a master Audi tech who has now moved to independents,i personally prefer the launch. Why?    Strictly due to the bidirectional abilities; which, in essence is not a proper statement. I have used both. The Autel is fantastic for user friendliness. it was designed to diagnose each and every manufacture to the highest capabilities of, well, lets use the term “generic” diagnostics. The Launch has the ability to program in the same concepts of the factory. As in, I am able to complete long coding of “most” modules in BMW and VAG meanwhile I am stuck with quick coding and bare minimal basic adaptations with Autel.       Both are great tools, but are only as good as the user.
